Seasick Steve

This man’s career just keeps getting better and better. Since his last performance at the festival, back in 2007, he has become a truly international star. So, it is with great honour that we welcome Steve back to what we all consider his rightful spiritual home in Ireland, the place where it all began with a support slot to Hayseed Dixie in the Kings Head and a solo headlining show in the John Hewitt - the Open House Festival, Belfast.
Tickets for this show are expected to sell quickly and the Early Bird offer is for a strictly limited period only, so early booking is advisable.

oh geez... I'm the only local.... and I never use the hotels here!!!!!

Bluesmans usin the premier in chigg - cheapest as far as I can see.. and the waring street one is closer than the alfred street one (tho waring doesnt have parking, but if your flying in that wouldnt be bad)
the 2 airports are the 'george best - City airport' which is only a couple of miles outside the city and is close to bus/rail is easy to get taxis too.. (and relat'ively cheap taxis cus its only a couple of miles form the gig)
and the 'international airport' which is miles away from belfast.. but it does have a bus service which takes you into the central bus station (victoria street) (which is then about a half hour walk to the gig)
belfast is a pretty small place so if your hotel is in the city centre its usually within a half hour walk from everywhere..
but fer you - chigg the waring street premier with the city airport (and then a taxi form airport to hotel) would might be the best option (i think- as I said.. I never use the hotels in belfast - or the taxis much - and ive never been to custom house square for a gig either! disclaimer over  )
i got the hobo low.

Cheers Rik - Waring St booked

The flight into Geordie Best is too late and the flight out is too early (not doing that again after Dublin!!!!) So I'll be in and out of the International - any info on bus numbers locations of bus stands etc would be greatly useful.

Chigg

ok Chigg this is the online timetable/price guide for the bus from/to the airport to the europa bus station..

http://www.translink.co.uk/resources2007/pdfs/Service_300_ttable2_4Jan10.pdf

it says on the timetable via victoria street (which is the bus station at the side of town near waring street and the gig... (5 minutes walk) below is the map... if you look at the top waring street is there...

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=victoria+street+belfast&rlz=1R2ADSA_enGB379&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=Victoria+St,+Belfast&gl=uk&ei=Q90fTO6jG9C6jAf60e2vCg&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CBkQ8gEwAA

might be worth ringing 'translink' tho just to check...
